Sales Navigator Remote Update utilizes the World-Wide-Web to keep data synchronized between remote computers and the central Host computer. Give remote sites all your data or just the data that belongs to them using the sophisticated synchronization utilities. Reps with a laptop for example can have a small subset of the main database and can connect when they get around to it using a LOCAL ISP connection. (no long distance charges). They don't have to connect to see their data. This is truly distributed database technology at a fraction of the cost of other similar enterprise systems.
The remote site can be anything from a single laptop to a 50 user site to a redundant hub. A rich set of utilities for tracking transaction packets, resyncing companies or sets of companies, browsing data, cleaning transactions, viewing packets, resetting transactions, etc. is provided. The system has multiple levels of built in redundancy to ensure data integrity. This is not new technology. It works! and has been working for over 9 years in various installations.
Sales Navigator Remote is perfect for the type of company that has several or many physical sites and wants to connect them all into one cohesive sales and support organization. The system can run well with Windows 98SE in a peer-to-peer network with 2-3 people, or dedicated with up to 5 people sharing a workstation peer-to-peer, or in a large network using NT or Novell as a platform.
If you don't have the people or facilities in-house to manage this kind of system, see the Operations Support Page for additional information.
